Description

Shilajit is a natural substance found mainly in the Himalayas, formed by the gradual decomposition of certain plants by the action of microorganisms. It contains fulvic acid and is rich in minerals. Shilajit is also known as mineral pitch, salajit, shilajatu, mimie, or mummiyo, and is sometimes referred to as a mineral tar or resin. It is a highly viscous substance that is very dark brown or black in color and is readily soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol.
