Typical Preparations “Bitter Aloe” is a dried latex taken from the “peel” of the leaves, more precisely the double wall of the leafs water sacs. When bitter aloe is first extracted from the leaf, it is yellow, but it turns brown as it dries. The type of Aloe Vera sold by Our Sacred Garden is made from the entire dehydrated leaf, cut or powdered. Precautions Specific: Orally administered drugs should be taken one hour prior to consumption of aloe vera leaf gel or several hours after consumption, as it may slow the absorption of orally administered drugs.
